Hi, I’m Justine- a Kentucky based artist with a love for light and color. I’ve always seen myself as an illustrator, mostly working with drawing and painting mediums. Wherever I am, I’ll probably have my camera or sketchbook close by. I think it’s important to find inspiration where you are, and growing up in Kentucky has presented some serious artistic advantages. I’ve watched all four seasons change year after year, seen all the stars at night with nothing in the way, and had lots of time + space to be creative. The small lake where I grew up was quiet- the perfect place to come up with new ideas.

I’ve been practicing art in some way for as long as I can remember, and eventually made the decision to study it full-time in college (one of the best decisions I’ve made). Upon graduating from Western Kentucky University in 2021, I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Art & Art Education. In 2023, I established Galyen Arts as a creative space for the ideas that still pop into my head. I’m so grateful for this space, the joy it provides, and the connections it’s made.
